We have committed to review the Gambling Act 2005, which is the basis for the regulation of gambling in Great Britain, including the powers and duties of the Commission. We will announce further details in due course. The Government has made it clear that it will adopt a phased approach based on scientific and medical advice, and that the primary goal is to protect public health.</p><p>The government has released new guidance to enable competitive grassroots team sports to be played – starting with cricket from 11 July. The government has asked individual sports including rugby union and rugby league to consider the steps that would need to be taken, and the conditions that would need to be met, for their activity to resume. This funding will provide targeted support to organisations across a range of sectors, including performing arts and theatres, museums and galleries, heritage sites, live music venues and independent cinemas.</p><p>The package will include a £1.15 billion support pot for cultural organisations in England, delivered through a mix of grants and loans.
