We would expect NDPB employees to be able to raise any such concerns through their organisation’s existing systems, as they would any other issue that may affect them.</p><p> </p><p>Policy and products about whistle-blowing and raising a concern have been made available to Civil Service departments. The products include a specific policy and FAQs for employees of Non-Departmental Public bodies (NDPBs). The guidance encourages employees of NDPBs to report perceived wrongdoing within their organisation, including a breach of the organisation's core values. An employee should raise these types of concern with their line manager straight away. If the employee feels that it is not appropriate to raise a concern with their manager, they can raise it with another senior manager or directly with a Nominated Officer within their parent department. I have therefore asked the Authority to respond.</p><p>Dear Lord Wigley,</p><p>As National Statistician and Chief Executive of the UK Statistics Authority, I am responding to your Parliamentary Question asking what was the registered number of deaths of all causes between 1 March and the most recent available date; and what is the figure for deaths per 100,000 population this number represents for (1) England, (2) Scotland, (3) Northern Ireland, and (4) Wales (HL6919).</p><p>The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is responsible for publishing numbers of deaths registered in England and Wales. The most recent annual figures published are for deaths registered in 20191. However, we do publish provisional weekly deaths registrations, which are currently published for deaths registered up to 3 July 20202. National Records Scotland (NRS) and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for publishing the number of deaths registered in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.</p><p>Table 1 provides the registered number of deaths from all causes between 1 March 2020 and the most recent available weekly deaths data in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Table 2 provides the number of deaths registered and age-standardised mortality rates per 100,000 persons using the most consistent date range possible. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2023 answer text <p>The British Museum operates independently of His Majesty's Government, and decisions relating to the care and management of its collections are a matter for the Museum’s trustees.</p><p>The British Museum, as well as some other national museums, is prevented by law from removing objects from its collections, with a limited number of exceptions, none of which apply in this case.
