star this property answer text <p>The provision of legal resources in France is a matter for the French Government.</p><p>Asylum seekers cannot claim asylum in the UK if they are in France. If a person requires international protection they should claim asylum in France, which is bound by the same EU and international obligations as the UK.</p><p>If after claiming asylum in France it is established that the UK is the state responsible for examining their claim on the basis of the Dublin regulation, including under its family unity provisions, a take charge request may be submitted to the Home Office.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In general, if the hospital pharmacy issues medicines to a ward or individual patient and those medicines remain in the organisation, either because they are not supplied on discharge or the patient dies, then the medicines would be returned to ward stock or the pharmacy and re-used. If the medicines had been brought in to the hospital by the patient and the patient is subsequently discharged or dies, and the medicines remain in the hospital, then they would be safely disposed of by the hospital pharmacy.</p><p> </p><p>The main difference between the two scenarios is that, in the first there is sufficient guarantee of the storage conditions to ensure the medicines’ integrity can be assured. In the second scenario, such integrity cannot be guaranteed.</p> more like this

For each inspection completed, a report is published which includes recommendations for improvement. These reports are all in the public domain and available from the Inspectorate’s website. Inspections of prisons in Scotland and Northern Ireland are the responsibility of their respective inspection authorities.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Each prison’s staffing level is carefully designed to provide a safe, decent and secure environment for staff and prisoners. In March 2016 there were an extra 530 prison staff across the prison estate compared with January 2015; and NOMS will continue to recruit sufficient Prison Officers to support full delivery of the Benchmark in each establishment. A further £10 million has also been allocated to NOMS to specifically address safety concerns across the prison estate.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The accommodation provided to refugees resettled in the UK under the Syrian VPR programme is likely to be private rented accommodation and will be within existing local housing allowance rates.</p><p>The first 12 months of a refugee’s resettlement costs are fully funded by central government using the overseas aid budget. At the Spending Review, the Chancellor announced an estimated £460 million over the spending review period to cover the first 12 months’ costs under the scheme. The costs which can be covered from the aid budget include, for example, any education, housing, medical or social care the refugees might need immediately on arrival.</p><p>At the Spending Review the Government committed £129 million to assist with local authority costs over years 2-5 of the scheme. This will be allocated on a tariff basis over four years, tapering from £5,000 per person in their second year in the UK, to £1,000 per person in year five.</p> more like this
