star this property answer text <p>Tables have been attached which provide information on awards made under Section 64 of the Health and Public Health Act 1968 for the financial years 2010-11 to 2014-15 in relation to the following;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>- Innovation, Excellence and Service Development Fund;</p><p> </p><p>- Strategic Partner Programme;</p><p> </p><p>- Financial Assistance Fund;</p><p> </p><p>- Children’s Hospice and Hospice at Home Grants;</p><p> </p><p>- Homeless Hospital Discharge Fund (HHDF); and</p><p> </p><p>- Other grants awarded under Section 64 outside the main schemes (for the years 2013-14 and 2014-15 only).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Information on Section 64 grants made outside the main schemes for the years 2010-11 to 2012-13 is not available in the format requested from central records and could only be provided at disproportionate cost.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Standard conditions are included in the award letters for all Section 64 grants. These are reviewed on a regular basis. The current standard template used for grant awards made under Section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 has also been attached.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition to the standard terms and conditions of award, individual grant awards may include additional conditions. These are not collated centrally and would require examination of every grant awarded during the last five years. Therefore this could only be provided at disproportionate cost.</p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>The introduction of the 65+ “Pensioner” Bond has seen the biggest sale of any retail financial product in Britain’s modern history, with over £7.5 billion sold to date. Demand in the first few days was exceptionally high but tens of thousands of savers did successfully purchase bonds during this period, and hundreds of thousands have done so since. National Savings &amp; Investments (NS&amp;I) was quick to respond to the issues faced by some customers in the opening days, for example by adding further call centre staff to manage the high volume of calls. The website is now fully operational, calls are being answered with minimal waiting times, and NS&amp;I now have the capacity to field remaining demand pressures.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Following this unprecedented demand, the government has also extended the availability of the bonds up to 15 May, to ensure all pensioners aged 65 and over who want to benefit from these bonds will have time to do so.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Low interest rates have played an important part in stimulating the recovery. But there are those – especially pensioners – who rely on a reasonable rate of interest on their savings. These new savings bonds pay a market leading rate and are designed to help support those who rely on their savings in retirement.</p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>It is ultimately a matter for individual Service Personnel whether they choose to purchase personal accident and/or life insurance cover.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Department recognises that we also have a duty of care to ensure that personal accident and life insurance cover is available to those service personnel who consider they require it. The Ministry of Defence therefore has a contract with Aon Ltd for a Personal Accident and Optional Life and Critical Illness Insurance, named PAX. A separate contract for Life insurance, named SLI365, is in place, managed by Willis Ltd and underwritten by Sterling Insurance Group. The cover which these schemes provide is voluntary and separate from the benefits provided by the Government. It is also possible that Service Personnel may have secured accident cover/life insurance through other means.</p><p> </p><p>Separately, the Ministry of Defence provides compensation for personnel injured due to service through the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme.</p>
