unstar this property answer text <p>The UK Corporate Governance Code is the responsibility of the Financial Reporting Council. It is the responsibility of investors to assess the quality of reporting and engage with companies accordingly.</p><p> </p><p>The 2018 Code is a substantial revision and comes into force for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2019. Reporting against the revised Code will therefore not be required until 2020 when companies publish their annual reports and accounts for the preceding year. However, the FRC intends to evaluate the extent of early adoption of the new Code in terms of reporting on the application of its Principles and compliance or otherwise with its Provisions and to publish its findings at the end of 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The FRC is the subject of an independent review being led by Sir John Kingman which is expected to report before the end of the year.</p><p> </p> more like this

The Government does not produce forecasts of port productivity.</p><p>The Government expects to complete a withdrawal deal, but our aim in the event of a no-deal outcome is to ensure that unit-load traffic can continue to flow as expeditiously and efficiently as possible so that the volume of trade in aggregate can be maintained.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>We have made no specific assessment of this release.</p><p>In the 2018 Budget, the Government announced measures that are expected to affect business investment. These include the introduction of a permanent structures and buildings allowance and a temporary increase in the annual investment allowance for 2 years. These measures, in conjunction with the reduction in the writing down allowance for the special rate pool of assets are expected to increase the level of business investment by 0.4 per cent by the end of the forecast period.</p><p>In its October 2018 forecast, the independent OBR (Office for Budget Responsibility) expect business investment to increase by 8% between 2016 Q4 and 2021Q1 and for business investment to rise as a share of GDP.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Civil Aviation Authority has undertaken an evidence review of passenger exposure to peanuts and tree nut allergens on airlines to establish the scientific evidence for the risks, and to identify what mitigation measures, if any, would be appropriate on the basis of the evidence. The report is due to be published before the end of the year.</p><p> </p><p>In its forthcoming Aviation Strategy green paper, the government is proposing a policy to provide consistent standards for allergy sufferers to make certain that consumers know what to expect when they fly.</p> more like this
