	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government have no plans to revoke the moratorium on shale gas extraction.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has always been clear that we will take a precautionary approach and only support shale gas exploration if it can be done in a safe and sustainable way, and that we will be led by the science on whether this is indeed possible.</p><p> </p><p>It remains our policy to be guided by the evidence and to minimise disturbance to those living and working nearby to shale gas exploration sites, and to prevent the risk of any damage.</p><p> </p><p>The moratorium will be maintained unless compelling new evidence is provided which addresses the concerns around the prediction and management of induced seismicity.</p> question first answered 14/01/2020 15:04:50 answering member 4686

It is important that the way it is constituted reflects that role and the primacy of the House of Commons. The Conservative manifesto committed to looking at the role of the House of Lords and reviewing the relationship between the Government, Parliament and the courts.</p><p>The House of Lords Appointments Commission recommends individuals for appointment as non-party-political life peers. In line with established convention, the number of nominations to be offered to individual political parties is a matter for the Prime Minister. 	answer	answer answer text <p>As with all medicines, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, with input from the Government’s independent expert advisory body the Commission on Human Medicines, keep the safety of pregabalin under continual review and ensure the product information contains up to date information, issuing updated advice as appropriate. Details about the possible side effects are provided in the product information for all medicines containing pregabalin.</p><p>Prices of pregabalin decreased significantly when it came off patent in July 2017 leading to significant savings for the National Health Service. NHS expenditure in primary care in England on pregabalin went down from £315 million in 2016 to £216 million in 2017 and £38 million in 2018. In 2018, the Supreme Court ruled that all patent protection on pregabalin should have expired in July 2014. This means that the NHS could have benefited earlier from cheaper prices of generic competitors and in this respect, the Department is currently considering its position.</p> question first answered 22/01/2020 16:13:24 answering member 4019
