It will be for Member States to determine how they implement their rights and obligations under the Withdrawal Agreement in the context of their domestic law. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/12/2018 answer text <p>The UK is seeking a comprehensive security relationship which preserves mutually important operational capabilities whilst allowing the UK and EU to continue to work together to combat fast evolving security threats.</p><p>The Political Declaration, published on 26 November 2018, unequivocally recognises that both the UK and the EU need a strong future relationship on internal security given the shared threats we face, our geographical proximity, and the need to continue to protect all of our citizens from harm. EU Member States make other provisions for extradition to non-EU countries.</p><p>Regarding our future relationship with the EU, the UK is seeking a comprehensive security relationship which preserves mutually important operational capabilities whilst allowing the UK and EU to continue to work together to combat fast evolving security threats. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2018 answer text <p>The Common Travel Area (CTA) is an existing special travel area which facilitates the long-standing principle of free movement for British and Irish nationals and the enjoyment of reciprocal rights enjoyed in the UK and Ireland.</p><p>The CTA arrangements mean there are no routine immigration controls on journeys from Ireland to the UK, including over the land border. The Government is committed to maintaining these arrangements with Ireland after the UK leaves the EU, protecting the ability to move freely between Ireland and the UK. The December Joint Report includes recognition from the EU that the CTA with Ireland is protected after the UK has left the EU. As will all the commitments made in the December Joint Report we are determined to ensure that this is turned into legally binding text in the Withdrawal Agreement. Maintaining these arrangements also means the protection of Irish citizens’ rights to enter and remain in the UK.</p><p>Immigration control is not, and never has been, solely about the ability to prevent and control entry at the UK’s physical border.
