	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/12/2017 answer text <p>Under the current Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) rules the three hurricane affected Overseas Territories, Anguilla, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the British Virgin Islands, are not eligible to receive Official Development Assistance (ODA) due to their Gross National Income (GNI) per capita being above the ODA eligibility cut off point. The United Kingdom (UK) Government has committed £142 million of non-ODA funding to the hurricane relief effort in the Overseas Territories. In addition up to £300 million of loan guarantees will be available to help the affected Overseas Territories access the funds needed to Build Back Better. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/04/2018 answer text <p>In 2016, through the Ministry of Defence, the UK participated in the US-led Train and Equip Programme, which aimed to train and equip screened members of the Syrian moderate opposition in the region at locations outside Syria. The training focused on basic infantry tactics, command and control, explosive hazard awareness training (EHAT) and medical training in order to build the capacity of forces whose operations on the ground against Daesh are being supported by the Global Coalition.</p><p>Through the Conflict Stability and Security Fund we have also funded some projects in which certain armed groups of the Syrian moderate opposition have been involved. These have included communications and medical training and, since 2015, projects to support stability in southern Syria. Humanitarian goods are not subject to either US or EU sanctions. We are, nevertheless, working with our European partners on mechanisms to support continued trade in humanitarian goods, such as pharmaceutical exports.
