	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/03/2018 answer text <p>Immigration Enforcement work in partnership law enforcement agencies and NGOs in responding to modern slavery and human trafficking offences</p><p>There are 1240 frontline officers within the crime and financial investigations teams (CFI) and immigration, compliance and enforcement teams of Immigration Enforcement, all of whom are trained to identify the indicators of modern slavery and human trafficking.</p><p>Immigration Enforcement are putting in place modern slavery champions across frontline enforcement who will receive enhanced training in this area.</p><p>CFI officers receive a number of Modern Slavery training products including e-learning through the National Centre for Applied Learning Technologies (NCALT) (from the College of Policing) and HO products through Discover.</p><p>They receive a half day first response face to face delivery in their induction programme and a further face to face delivery around the National Referral Mechanism and indicators within Professionalising Investigation Programme ( PIP1) classroom.</p><p>They study further for the national investigators examination ( NIE) and are questioned on Modern Slavery Act offences in the exam. On PIP2 they undertake a full week covering the College Public Protection Learning Programme covering the 13 strands of Public Protection but IE also focus heavily on Modern Slavery. Further to this the Hydra exercise in week 4 is based on a Modern Slavery scenario.</p><p>All modern slavery operations conducted by CFI are debriefed fully. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/04/2018 answer text <p>In 2016, through the Ministry of Defence, the UK participated in the US-led Train and Equip Programme, which aimed to train and equip screened members of the Syrian moderate opposition in the region at locations outside Syria. The training focused on basic infantry tactics, command and control, explosive hazard awareness training (EHAT) and medical training in order to build the capacity of forces whose operations on the ground against Daesh are being supported by the Global Coalition.</p><p>Through the Conflict Stability and Security Fund we have also funded some projects in which certain armed groups of the Syrian moderate opposition have been involved. These have included communications and medical training and, since 2015, projects to support stability in southern Syria. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2018 answer text <p>We have a range of provisions in place to ensure assessments are accessible to all claimants, in line with the standards under the Equality Act 2010.</p><p> </p><p>Both Assessment Providers will provide on request, materials in alternative formats to meet the needs of claimants with a wide range of health conditions and impairments. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of communications in large font material, Braille or audio format.</p><p> </p><p>Before attending a consultation, claimants are given the opportunity to alert the Assessment Provider to any additional requirements they may have. The Assessment Providers will endeavour to meet any reasonable requests.</p><p> </p><p>All assessment centres are fully accessible and the needs of all claimants are considered, including proximity to public transport routes and access to suitable parking. The focus is on ensuring Health Care Professionals (HCPs) are experts in disability analysis, focusing on the effects of health conditions and impairments on a claimant’s daily life.</p><p>All HCPs receive training on a wide range of conditions including sight loss and visual impairment. This includes detailed modules covering all aspects of sight loss and how the condition impacts on a person’s ability to undertake the activities in the PIP assessment. Both Assessment Providers employ Sensory Impairment Champions who are available to provide support and advice to HCPs at any point during the assessment process. PIP is working better for those with a visual impairment compared to the previous benefit, Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
