	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The UK's £3.87 billion International Climate Fund (ICF), managed by DFID, aims, amongst other things, to prevent climate induced migration in two ways. Firstly, by providing support for emissions reductions to limit the levels of climate change. This is by far the most effective way of reducing the numbers of people displaced by climate change.</p><p> </p><p>Secondly, providing 50% of ICF funds to help over 20 million of the most climate vulnerable people adapt to the impacts of climate change and avoid being displaced. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2017 answer text <p>DFID fully endorse an integrated WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) approach with other human development services such as education and health, as part of a holistic approach. Water and sanitation facilities and hygiene promotion and education are crucial for all institutions such as schools, clinics and hospitals.</p><p>We support developing country governments, in particular through the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) to develop, implement and finance education sector development plans that incorporate WASH into school infrastructure, supplies, teacher development and curriculum requirements. These plans are systematically monitored, including on data related to the provision of WASH at schools.</p><p>We continue to fund significant research through a consortium led by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on how to maximise the impacts of WASH investments on school attendance and on health. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/01/2019 answer text <p>DFID has been enabling governments that are part of the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement to access technical expertise in nutrition since 2012 through the Maximising Quality for Scaling Up Nutrition and the Technical Assistance for Nutrition programmes. As part of this, tools and guidance have been developed for use by government as they design, implement and monitor multi-sector nutrition policies.</p><p> </p><p>Both programmes have also supported learning and exchange between governments that are facing similar challenges. However, there should be common lessons to apply in terms of the importance of a longer term development response to displacement and we are considering other opportunities to raise the profile of the issue and galvanise international efforts in 2018. For example, the UK is supportive of the idea of a UN High Level Panel on internally displaced people to assess the effectiveness of the current response to internal displacement and galvanise further political and operational action.
