I am unable to disclose the legal content of those discussions because whether or not the Law Officers have given advice and the content of any such advice is, by convention, not disclosed outside Government. The Convention protects my ability as chief legal adviser to the Government to give full and frank legal advice about some of the most contentious and difficult issues the Government will be considering.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>(a) From June 2016 (when Persons of Significant Control criminal offences came into force) to September 2018 criminal proceedings have been issued against 99 individuals (directors) and 89 companies.</p><p> </p><p>(b) 5 individuals have been convicted - 4 convictions were for offences contrary to section 790VA Companies Act 2006 (failing to update Companies House with details of relevant entries to a company’s PSC Register.) A further 4 companies were convicted of the same offence. 1 individual has been convicted of an offence contrary to section 790F Companies Act 2006 (failing to make relevant enquiries relating to a company’s PSC). 2 companies have been convicted of the same offence.</p><p> </p><p>(c) The total amount of fines for these offences is £7,000.</p> more like this

He has a statutory duty to report to the creditors of the company as to the assets, liabilities and cause of failure; and to my Rt Hon Friend the Secretary of State concerning the conduct of the directors.</p><p> </p><p>The Official Receiver reported to the creditors on 30 September 2015 and 22 August 2017.</p><p> </p><p>As a result of the report on the conduct of the directors the Insolvency Service has commenced proceedings to disqualify those individuals from acting as directors for a period of time. While those proceedings are underway they must be conducted without prejudice so no further statement can be made. Once these proceedings are concluded the Insolvency Service will announce such details as are appropriate.</p><p> </p> more like this

Our 2013 UK Broadband Impact Study, and an evaluation in 2015 of the UK's National Broadband Scheme are both available at www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-broadband-impact-study--2 and www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-uks-national-broadband-scheme-an-independent-evaluation.</p><p> </p><p>We will be publishing a further independent evaluation of the Department’s superfast programme, which has provided superfast broadband access to over 4.85 million homes and businesses across the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has not conducted a specific analysis of the economic impact of poor broadband connectivity in London or the Vauxhall constituency.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In those areas where decent broadband is not available, we are introducing a broadband Universal Service Obligation so that by 2020 everyone across the UK will have a clear, enforceable right to request high speed broadband of at least 10 Megabits per second. We will keep the speed and quality parameters under review to make sure that it keeps pace with consumers' evolving needs.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Government’s ambition is for full fibre to 15 million premises by 2025 and nationwide coverage by 2033. On 23 July, the Government published its Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review, setting out approach to achieving our targets by promoting competition and commercial investment.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government is also investing in full fibre connectivity through our £280 million Local Full Fibre Networks programme. In March 2018, funding was allocated to 13 successful bidders, with projects in several UK cities, including London, Manchester, Cambridge, Cardiff, and Belfast.</p>

We welcome initiatives which keep waste out of landfill but we have not carried out a specific assessment on the impact of Real Nappies for London on tonnages to landfill, or savings to local authorities.
