	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/05/2019 answer text <p>We have taken steps to address design quality through the revised National Planning Policy Framework and are in the process of reviewing associated guidance. We have also hosted two National Design Conferences, each attended by around 400 representatives of the sector, and we have launched the Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission; to advise the Government on how to promote and increase the use of high-quality design for new build homes and neighbourhoods. The Commission will report back in December 2019.</p><p>In relation to build quality, we have announced our intention for a New Homes Ombudsman to be established and are considering options for a shadow ombudsman. Furthermore, our building regulations set requirements on a range of issues including health and safety, sustainability and access. The regulations are supported by statutory guidance in Approved Documents. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/05/2019 answer text <p>The Department has regular discussions with the construction industry, including the Federation of Master Builders, about how best to improve the standard of work undertaken by firms and sole traders in the sector, and to protect consumers.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has already endorsed the TrustMark Scheme which works to educate consumers on recognising and reporting rogue traders operating in the home building and repair market. TrustMask is actively involved with Trading Standards to provide further protection to consumers affected by rogue builders; and to identify local traders who have undergone independent checks for both trade competence and good trading practice. Allocation for the requested areas are as follows (these figures are still being audited and may change by the time that they are published):</p><p><br>Caseworkers and staff: £59m</p><p><br>Application system: £63m</p><p><br>The EU Settlement Scheme marketing campaign led by the Home Office did not include advertising in foreign newspapers. However, the Immigration Minister was interviewed by key diaspora media both in broadcast and print for the highest populated EU countries in the UK. The Home Office launched a £3.75m UK wide marketing campaign to encourage EU citizens to apply when the EU Settlement Scheme went live. The campaign ran on radio, catch up tv, online, print with the cost breakdown below. Advertising also ran on outdoor billboards.</p><p><br>a. Radio and digital audio: £410,000<br>b. Catch up tv: £1,000,000<br>c. Online (digital and social): £410,000<br>d. These guarantees apply whether the UK leaves the EU with a deal or not. Applications for courses starting in academic year 2020/21 do not open until September 2019. We will ensure students and institutions have the information they need well in advance of that date.</p><p>Students from the EU make an important contribution to the universities sector and it is a testament to our system that so many students from abroad choose to come and study here. The arrangements for EU nationals will be considered as part of wider discussions about the UK's relationship with the EU.
