Terrorists and their supporters employ a variety of methods to raise and move terrorist funds, looking to any means at their disposal to do so.</p><p>Those who wish to finance terrorist activity face significant including UK proscriptions, UK asset freezes and international sanctions. No one method to raise funds appears to be more prevalent than others, with the choice of method assessed to be dependent on personal knowledge or end destination of funds.</p> more like this

Of these, approximately 20 per cent have been killed in the conflict and around 40 per cent have returned to the UK. They have all been investigated and the majority have been assessed to pose no, or a low security risk. star this property answer text <p>This Government has been clear there should be no safe spaces online for terrorists and extremists to operate. This includes those engaged in far right radicalisation, as demonstrated by the measures we have taken against National Action and its aliases.</p><p>We are taking robust action to tackle radicalisation online, by securing the removal of terrorist content. Our approach involves working closely with industry, including through the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, to encourage them to proactively respond and to develop innovative solutions to tackle this problem.</p><p>But there is still more to do. A White Paper will be published in the coming weeks, setting out measures to tackle online harms, including terrorist and extremist content.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Two Unexplained Wealth Orders (UWOs) have been applied for and granted in relation to assets totalling £22 million. In addition to the UWOs, the courts granted interim freezing orders (IFOs), meaning that the assets cannot be sold, transferred or dissipated while subject to the IFO.</p><p>Unexplained wealth orders are an important addition to existing investigation powers; they compel individuals to explain the sources of their wealth where it is suspected that their lawful income would be insufficient to obtain specified property, if they are a non-EEA politically exposed person, or suspected of being involved in serious crime.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Police recorded crime and Crime Survey for England and Wales estimates are not broken down by (a) financial and (b) consumer fraud. There is a gap between the levels of police recorded fraud and the estimated number of frauds in the Crime Survey.</p><p>The City of London Police, the national lead force for fraud, are working with businesses to increase the level of reporting to Action Fraud and the new IT system for Action Fraud, which went live earlier this month, will make it easier for businesses and individuals to report incidents of fraud.</p> more like this
