	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/10/2019 answer text <p>The interim NHS People Plan was published on 3 June 2019 and sets out the type of workforce, and future staff and leadership culture the National Health Service will need to develop, to ensure the successful delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan.</p><p> </p><p>The final NHS People Plan will be informed by the Cancer Workforce Plan for England, published in December 2017 by Health Education England. This set out plans to expand capacity and skills in the cancer workforce, including targeting additional training support for seven priority professions such as clinical radiology, histopathology, oncology and diagnostic and therapeutic radiography. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/03/2020 answer text <p>The latest NHS England data shows that the late diagnosis rates for pancreatic cancer in Surrey and Sussex increased between 2016 and 2017, from 78.2% to 81.9%.</p><p>Early diagnosis rates for pancreatic cancer in England increased by 2.9 percentage points between 2014 and 2017, from 21.0% to 23.9%, and improving early diagnosis of cancer is a top priority for the National Health Service. That is why of one of the core ambitions in the NHS Long Term Plan is to diagnose 75% of cancers at stage 1 or 2 by 2028 to save 55,000 lives a year. When the Department identifies a pandemic risk facing the UK, we work with expert stakeholders to produce guidance to support all sectors in mitigating the risk to the public.</p><p> </p><p>The National Risk Register of Civil Emergencies (NRR) provides an assessment of the likelihood and potential impact of a range of different civil emergency risks, including pandemics. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/03/2020 answer text <p>The NHS Long Term Plan sets out an ambition that, by 2028, the proportion of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 will rise from around half to three-quarters of cancer patients.</p><p>Other key actions to increase an early diagnosis of blood cancer are:</p><p>- campaigns to raise greater awareness of the symptoms of cancer;</p><p>- lowering the threshold for referral by general practitioners (GPs);</p><p>- accelerate access to diagnosis and treatment and maximise the number of cancers that specialist’s can identify through screening; and</p><p>- roll-out of new Rapid Diagnostic Centres across the country to</p><p>- upgrade and bring together the latest diagnostic equipment and expertise.</p><p> </p><p>The Long Term Plan also commits to invest £4.5 billion of new funding to establish Primary Care Networks based on neighbouring GP practices.
