The consultation period began on 2nd February and will run until 25th May 2017</p><p> </p><p>The Government wishes to support airspace modernisation in order to deliver benefits for the UK economy, passengers and communities affected by aircraft noise. The proposals in this consultation aim to strike a balance between unlocking the economic and social benefits of modernised airspace, and addressing the local impacts of aviation.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is also working on a new Aviation Strategy that will set out the Government’s vision for the wider aviation sector. This will replace the 2013 Aviation Policy Framework (APF) and will be subject to a separate consultation process. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2016 answer text <p>The Government does not collect specific data on the frequency of incidents of commercial aircraft cabin and flight deck smoke, or fume events. As such, no estimates have been made.</p><p> </p><p>Serious incidents are counted amongst data for safety related events. In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 376/2014, safety-related events which endanger or which, if not corrected or addressed, could endanger an aircraft, its occupants or any other person have to be reported to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).</p><p>The Regulation requires that the reporting, analysis and follow-up to such occurrences remain confidential.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Regulation does permit information to be released on request to interested parties that have a genuine safety related need for the information. We are committed to improving compensation arrangements for passengers affected by shorter delays which are not covered by the current Delay Repay scheme. The previous Chancellor announced in his Autumn 2015 Spending Review that passengers will soon have access to compensation when trains are over 15 minutes late. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/01/2015 answer text <p>£53 million was spent on a project at Gatwick Airport Station in the Crawley constituency over the period from 2010-11 to 2013-14. Network Rail completed work in January 2014 on the scheme, which was designed to improve reliability and punctuality of journeys and increase capacity with a new seventh platform. The project was jointly funded by Network Rail as part of their Railway Control Period 4 plans, and Gatwick Airport Limited.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Access for All small schemes programme provided funding of £116,000 for three new height adjustable ticket office windows 2012/13 and £47,400 for a number of accessibility improvements in 2013/14.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Stations Commercial Projects Facility provided £559,023 towards a Southern Railway and Network Rail project to enhance the retail environment at Three Bridges station. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring the economic security of hard-working families. Fares continue to play a role in this, and we recognise that no one likes to see the cost of their rail travel rise.</p><br /><p>That is why the Government has put a stop to above inflation (RPI) fare increases on regulated rail fares until 2020. This extends the cap on regulated rail fares put in place for 2014 and 2015.
