answer text <p>UK exports were £728 billion in the 12 months to end of August 2022, up £116 billion in current prices, adjusted for inflation this shows an increase of £49bn.</p><p> </p><p>The Export Strategy provides the foundation of our support for businesses, helping them capitalise on new trade deals. Since its launch, the Export Support Service has received over 11,500 enquiries. We have expanded the Export Academy, boosted our International Trade Advisor network, the ‘<em>Made in the UK, Sold to the World’</em> campaign continues to inspire businesses to export and last week’s International Trade Week attracted over 10,000 business registrations and held 120 business-facing events.</p> more like this

This is not a general requirement for all companies exporting to Austria. answer text <p>The data required to calculate preference utilisation of UK goods exports is collected through customs declarations of the importing partner country. At present this data is not publicly available for non-EU FTA partners. answer text <p>As outlined by the South Asia regional trade plan, the department connects UK businesses to buyers using sector-specific expertise both in the UK and our overseas network, including experts across our nine teams within our Deputy and High Commissions in India. The team covers all priority sectors, including healthcare and life sciences, digital technology, infrastructure, energy and financial and professional services. Through the UK-India Joint Working Group we are also addressing market access barriers to increase sectoral trade in food and drink, ICT, life sciences, chemicals and services.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The final budget delegated to the South Asia region for the financial year 2018-19 was £4.30m, comprising £3.25m for local staff and non-pay expenditure and £1.05m relating to salary costs for civil servants based in the region.</p><p> </p><p>The final budget delegated to the South Asia region for the financial year 2017-18 was £2.85m for local staff and non-pay expenditure. In 2017-18 budgets for salary costs relating to civil servants based in overseas regions were not delegated but held centrally.</p><p> </p><p>These figures do not include elements of wider Department for International Trade budgets, which are not set at an overseas regional level but do support the delivery of trade in overseas regions, including in South Asia.</p><p> </p><p>We regularly change departmental budgets to align with progress against delivery plans.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK’s manufacturing and motor manufacturing industry plays a vital role in the UK’s economy by driving exports, innovation, job creation and productivity. We want to ensure that it continues to succeed.</p><p> </p><p>At the end of the transition period, the UK will no longer be a member of the partial EU-Turkey customs union. We are preparing to negotiate a trade agreement with Turkey that would allow businesses in both the UK and Turkey to continue to trade with each other under preferential terms and deliver continuity of current arrangements as far as possible.</p><p> </p><p>This department continues to engage with businesses in the automotive industry to understand their priorities and inform the UK’s approach.</p> more like this
