<p>NHS England is able to apply directions to a clinical commissioning group (CCG)
when it is satisfied that a CCG is failing or is at risk of failing to discharge its
functions.</p><p> </p><p>This includes but is not limited to a CCG’s financial performance
and management. The following table shows the number of CCGs that have been directed
