star this property answer text <p>There have been no discussions between the department’s ministers and the General Medical Council or the Health and Care Professions Council on signing the Hillsborough Charter. As set out on 6 December 2023, in the Government's response to Bishop James Jones' independent report, many organisations, in addition to His Majesty’s Government, have already signed the Hillsborough Charter, including the National Police Chiefs’ Council, College of Policing, Crown Prosecution Service, Fire Service, and Kensington and Chelsea Council. This Government will encourage and work with other public bodies to adopt the Charter and commit to learn the lessons of the Hillsborough families disaster, to ensure that the failings we saw in the aftermath of the disaster are never repeated.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Based on the Department for Transport internal database, we have had financial contracts with Clifford Chance LLP to provide legal advice on specific work during this period.</p><p> </p><p>We do not have any record of any financial contract with FTI Consulting and Fenchurch Advisory Partners in the last five years.</p><p> </p><p>With regard to meetings, the Department has no central database of meetings so to try and obtain a complete list of any or all meetings with these three companies across the whole Department over the past five years would incur disproportionate cost. However, Permanent Secretary and Ministerial meetings with external organisations are routinely published on Gov.uk.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In response to your request to publish the name and location of the land and buildings owned by BEIS that are (a) sitting empty and (b) in the process of being sold or disposed of:</p><p>(a) there is no land and there are no buildings sitting empty; and</p><p>(b) the former site of the BBSRC Roslin Institute in Roslin, Midlothian, is sold and under a conditional contract with a housing developer. Two dwellings off-site are currently subject to a lease with the University of Edinburgh until July 2019.
