Four of those visits involved meeting counterparts, with these having taken place on 22-25 July 2017, 14-16 March 2018 and 23-24 May 2018, and the visit which is about to take place over 24-27 July.</p><p>Over 9-13 April he also undertook a trade promotion visit to Seattle and Los Angeles.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland campaign showcases all four corners of our nation to inspire the world and encourage people to visit, do business, invest and study in the UK. GREAT unites the efforts of the public and private sector to generate jobs and growth for Britain and Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>The vast majority of advertising space across the seven UK international airports where the GREAT campaign features was provided at no cost to the public purse.</p><p> </p><p>The total cost of advertising space during the timeframes specified was £7000, which was spent on a specific campaign as part of the broader Exporting is GREAT campaign to feature local businesses and promote exports.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade (DIT) has a telephone helpline for businesses to ask trade-related queries. In December 2018, we established an online support service to help traders to understand the EU Exit and Transition processes and answer questions on DIT policy, including tariffs. Companies should continue to use these resources now and post-1<sup>st</sup> January 2021 for support to prepare for changes as we leave the Single Market and Customs Union.</p><p> </p><p>This Department is working with Cabinet Office and other departments to ensure traders and hauliers have the right support. In addition to Departmental helplines, Cabinet Office has set up the EU Transition Trader and Industry Forum, which traders and logistics companies can use to ask questions from government officials - <a href="https://transition-forum.service.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/" target="_blank">https://transition-forum.service.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/</a></p><p> </p><p>For logistics companies, the Department for Transport has set up 45 information and advice sites across the country which hauliers can visit if they need advice and support. star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade (DIT) has published clear, accurate, and up-to-date information on every signed continuity agreement to give businesses the support they need to enter new markets across the globe. This includes information on the rules of origin provisions within those agreements.</p><p>DIT has also created free-to-use online tools (‘<a href="https://www.gov.uk/get-rules-tariffs-trade-with-uk" target="_blank">Trade with the UK’ </a>and ‘<a href="https://www.gov.uk/check-duties-customs-exporting" target="_blank">Check How to Export Goods’</a>) so that businesses can access product-specific and country-specific information on tariffs and regulations that currently apply to UK trade in goods.</p><p>These tools provide information for traders on updated rules of origin arising from continuity trade agreements taking effect after the transition period and are regularly updated to reflect any changes.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade (DIT) business support enquiry service is current-ly operated under a Memorandum of Understanding with BEIS. This helpline is staffed by 1 SEO, 1 EO and 4 AO’s.</p><p><br>Between 28th December 2020 and 4th January 2021, the enquiry line was closed on the 28th December, operated from 9am to 5pm on 29th - 31st December inclusive, and on the 4th January. From 1st - 3rd January the helpline was an email only service from 9am to 5pm.</p><p><br>The email-based Transition Period Enquiry Service is staffed by 1 Grade 7, 1 SEO, 2 HEOs and 1 EO. Further resource is available from staff based around the globe for op-erational contingency, trained to support the team when demand requires this.</p><p><br>The enquiry line was operated from 9am to 5pm on all days between 28th December and 4th January 2021 inclusive.</p> more like this
