The announcement made clear that further work on identifying and assessing any additional burdens on local authorities is first required before a commencement date can be given. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2021 answer text <p>We made a Manifesto commitment to improve the quality of evidence within Government about the types of barriers people face.</p><p>To deliver that promise, in December, The Secretary of State for Women and Equalities launched the Government’s equality data programme. That programme will consider socio-economic background and geography alongside factors such as sex, ethnicity and sexual orientation to enable us to understand where individuals are being held back across the UK.</p><p>The project aims to publish its first outputs in Summer 2021. In total, these businesses employed 15,159,000 people. [Figures produced by BIS, Business Population Estimates for UK and Regions 2014]. No estimate has been made of the gender breakdown of these employees. However, women now make up 46.8% of the total workforce [August – October 2014, ONS Labour Market Statistics]</p><p> </p><p>We encourage individual companies to collect and analyse data regarding the number of women they employ at different levels by signing up to the<em>Think Act Report</em> initiative. They are further encouraged to take action regarding any inequalities identified, and to publish details of their progress. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2021 answer text <p>A world-class education system that works for everyone is the surest way to spread opportunity across the country. That is why we are investing over £7 billion more in our schools by 2022-23 than in 2019-20, plus additional funding to cover pension costs. This means schools around the country can continue to raise standards to give all children the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Schools continue to receive additional funding through the pupil premium – worth around £2.4 billion annually – to help them support their disadvantaged pupils.</p><p>During the pandemic, the Government is investing over £400 million to support access to remote education and online social care services, including securing 1.3 million laptops and tablets for disadvantaged children and young people.</p><p>This Government has also delivered an unprecedented package of support to protect jobs and businesses and, for those in most need, injecting billions into the welfare system. The new Covid Winter Grant Scheme builds on that support with an additional £170 million for local authorities in England, to support families with children and other vulnerable people with the cost of food and essential utilities this winter. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/10/2015 answer text <p><strong></strong></p><p>This government is committed to closing the gender pay gap in a generation by addressing the underlying causes of the gender pay gap, including the gender bonus gap. Our consultation on Closing the Gender Pay Gap closed on 6 September, and received nearly 700 responses. Over 200 employers and business organisations responded, including the CBI, whose members employ around a third of the private sector workforce. We have announced that this will apply to large employers and to large public bodies.
