We reported our latest estimate of the affordability of the Equipment Plan in the Defence Equipment Plan financial summary 2018, published on 5 November 2018. star this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence, the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and Fife Council continue to work together to implement the agreed Management Strategy for the long-term management of radium contamination at Dalgety Bay.</p><p>Remediation is due to physically begin in April 2020 and be completed in September of the same year. The second phase of work is planned to begin in April 2021 and be completed in September 2021. Work cannot take place outside of these periods due to the disturbance that may be caused to wintering birds.</p> more like this

Similar concerns were not raised by others living outside Scotland. Accordingly, there are no plans to provide any form of financial mitigation for those Service personnel outside Scotland who found themselves, for example in Tax Year 2018-19, paying slightly more tax (up to £20 a year) than their equivalents who are resident in Scotland and, therefore, Scottish taxpayers.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The implementation of the agreed management strategy at Dalgety Bay involves the removal of radium sources; the reinforcement, replacement and extension of coastal armour stone and the construction of a replacement slipway at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club.</p><p>It is not possible at this time to determine the amount of disruption that may be caused by the work at Dalgety Bay as this has only recently gone to tender. Once a contractor has been appointed, a construction plan will be developed by them in consultation with the local council to minimise disruption.</p><p>Works on site will only be permitted between 1 April and 30 September each year. At the end of the first season any incomplete works will be protected and made safe, and will be completed in the following season.</p> more like this

No information relating to later events is known to be held in Ministry of Defence archives. Member to Question 269749 answered on 3 July 2019 which stated that the three Trafalgar Class submarines were based at Her Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Clyde. While all Royal Navy submarines operate under the administrative command of the Submarine Flotilla, on current plans HMS Talent's base port change will take place in the next few weeks and HMS Triumph's in 2020.</p> more like this
