star this property answer text <p>​The Foreign &amp; Commonwealth Office provides communications to its diplomatic premises around the world through the ECHO network delivered by Vodafone. The department does not keep a register of equipment used in the ECHO network. Many official residences also make use of ECHO connectivity, or contract local communications providers. The department does not keep a central register of equipment used for non-ECHO networks. Where communications are sensitive, data is encrypted to a suitable level across the ECHO network, thereby safeguarding the information.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>​Sanctions are having an impact on Russia, exacerbating negative trends in its economy caused by low oil prices and structural weakness. The Russian economy contracted by approximately 3.7% in 2015 and by 0.5% in 2016. Financial sanctions are particularly effective, making it expensive and difficult for sanctioned Russian entities to access finance to rollover existing debt and fund new investment projects.</p> more like this

Friend the Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (Boris Johnson) summoned the Russian Ambassador to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 15 December to make clear the British Government's deep concern over the situation in Aleppo and Russia's actions in Syria. I have met the Russian Ambassador twice since my appointment as Minister for Europe and the Americas. We had a thorough discussion on Syria in August 2016 during which I also expressed the UK's concern about the situation in Aleppo and our shared interest in working together on a political settlement in Syria.</p> more like this
