Although some disabling conditions may appear to be long-term at their onset, this is not always so. Around 12,000 households that received a payment of Universal Credit in June 2017 were entitled to this additional support – 3% of all households in payment. Further information on these statistics can be found at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/universal-credit-statistics" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/universal-credit-statistics</a></p><p> </p><p>In response to requests for information on Universal Credit we have consulted users on the expansion of Universal Credit statistics.
