The research was led by Swansea University and the full reports, alongside a report from findings in the community, will be published later this year.</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p>Our work on mindfulness is just part of our efforts to reduce recidivism and improve the prison estate. This includes the Temporary Permissions Regime (TPR) which will allow EEA firms currently passporting into the UK to continue doing so temporarily after Brexit, and a transitional power for regulators to phase in post-exit regulatory requirements for firms where they have changed as a result of the UK leaving the EU.</p><p> </p><p>Following this and wider action by industry and regulators, the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee (FPC) judges that “most risks to UK financial stability from disruption to cross-border financial services in a ‘no deal’ scenario have been mitigated”. The FPC have also said that the core of the UK’s financial system is “resilient to and prepared for the wide range of risks it could face, including a disorderly Brexit”. For example, within the programme of work and health trials being delivered by the joint DWP/DHSC Work and Health Unit, ONS measures of wellbeing are being collected alongside health and employment outcomes to inform future policy development. Within the data pack that informed the 2016 Work, Health and Disability Green Paper, the relationship between employment status and wellbeing was considered.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, specific DWP initiatives are designed to help promote citizen wellbeing. Defra recognises its legal duty to identify both physical and psychological risks to harm and put measures into place to minimise work-related ill health and injury. The Health &amp; Safety Policy is supported by our agreed safety, health and wellbeing standards, risk assessments, guidance and training which are reviewed and updated regularly to meet our aspirations around continuous improvement.</p><p> </p><p>In the last 12 months specifically Defra has reviewed, refreshed and reinforced various services and support mechanisms in place to support employee health and wellbeing. This has included benchmarking against the core and enhanced standards in the ‘Thriving at Work Report’. For example Defra has implemented Mental Health First Aiders to support individuals in crisis, an internal employee-led mental health ‘buddy’ network. These improvements supplement our standard offer where employees have access to an external provider Employee Assistance Programme, and Occupational Health Service. Staff and Line Managers are encouraged to notify work-related stress via internal reporting procedures; follow up conversations help to identify areas to address and ensure individuals are signposted to appropriate support. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2019 answer text <p>We recognise there will be an increased demand for Export Health Certificates (EHCs) in the event the UK leaves the EU without a deal.</p><p> </p><p>Our aim has been to support the market in meeting likely demand by increasing the number of trained Official Veterinarians (OVs) by providing free certification training.</p><p> </p><p>The number of trained OVs has increased from around 600 in February 2019 to more than 1000 currently, there are around 250 who have registered but not yet completed this training. We have been contacting this group, encouraging them to complete the training as soon as possible.</p><p> </p><p>In Great Britain, OVs operate in the private sector and over time we would expect the market to match supply and demand. Understanding what this means for certifying capacity is difficult as we cannot know how many hours a week these OVs will spend on certifying exports and to what extent their availability will respond to price incentives.</p><p> </p><p>To support Local Authority Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) and Official Veterinarians, we have created a Certification Support Officer (CSO) role and funded training. CSOs will handle a number of preparatory and administrative aspects of EHCs (checking documents, identifying products or sealing containers), freeing up EHO or OV time and capacity to provide the final assurance required. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/08/2019 answer text <p>We know from our research of the electoral registers that voters from BME communities are less likely to be registered to vote when compared with white voters.</p><p>As part of all of its public awareness campaigns ahead of elections, the Electoral Commission provides voter registration resources to a wide range of groups or individuals, to use in encouraging registration. These are freely available via the Commission’s website or its ‘Roll Call’ newsletter, to which anyone can subscribe.</p><p>We also identify specific organisations who could help promote registration to under-registered groups and actively provide these partners with resources: these have recently included, for example, the Council of African and Caribbean Churches and the Muslim Women’s network. It also works closely with Electoral Registration Officers, who hold many important relationships with church and community leaders to promote voter registration at a local level.</p><p>The Commission most recently contacted Operation Black Vote ahead of the Government’s voter ID pilots which took place in May 2019, to seek a contribution to its statutory evaluation of the pilots. This funding is additional to the over £2 billion of existing public sector support for buses.</p><p> </p><p>In the Government’s 2018 Loneliness Strategy the Department made several commitments, including:</p><ul><li><p>Building partnerships with transport providers and community groups who are developing initiatives for how transport can be used as a means for tackling loneliness</p></li><li><p>Putting the need for inclusive transport at the heart of our approach to the Future of Mobility Grand Challenge</p></li><li><p>Supporting community groups wishing to make use of unused or underused railway property</p></li><li><p>Providing funding to the Community Transport Association for driver training, recognising the key role they play in connecting their local community</p></li><li><p>Working with seven Mobility Centres in England to pilot ‘community hubs’ which will help support those that are at risk of loneliness</p><p> </p><p>In July 2019, Nusrat Ghani announced the following as part of the one year anniversary of the Inclusive Transport Strategy:</p></li><li><p>That 73 stations would receive a share of £300 million for the Access for All Fund, delivering accessibility improvements between 2019 and 2024</p></li><li><p>That 22 Motorway Service Areas will receive a share of a £2 million fund, run in partnership with Muscular Dystrophy UK, for fully accessible Changing Places toilet facilities</p></li><li><p>The extension of the Blue Badge eligibility criteria to include people with non-visible disabilities</p><p> </p><p>The Government is also committed to increasing cycling and walking and making our roads safer for vulnerable users – our aim is to double cycling and increase walking by 2025. Almost £2 billion is therefore being invested in cycling and walking over this Parliament through the Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>In the development of policy, the Department uses a wide range of evidence, including data from across ONS sources.
