	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2017 answer text <p>For 2014-2020, the UK was allocated EUR 11,633m (in 2014 prices) from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF), of which around EUR 2,410m was allocated to Wales.</p><p> </p><p>For 2007-2013, the UK was allocated EUR 10,613m (in 2007 prices) from the ERDF and ESF, of which around EUR 2,220m was allocated to Wales.</p><p> </p><p>For 2000-2006, the UK was allocated a total of EUR 15,635m (in 1999 prices) from the EU budget for cohesion policy. As this allocation also included spending on fisheries and rural development it is not possible to say what proportion was allocated from the structural funding programmes (ERDF and ESF). I recently met with the Japanese Prime Minister and representatives of Hitachi at Downing Street last week. We fully recognise that Hitachi’s decision will be a disappointment to people in Anglesey and North Wales, especially given the efforts of many stakeholders to support this project. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/03/2019 answer text <p>I have regular discussions with the Minister for the Cabinet Office and the Minister for the Constitution on a range of issues, including electoral matters. The Government’s major reforms to the electoral registration system, including the introduction of Individual Electoral Registration have resulted in record levels of electors registering to vote in Wales and participating in our democracy.</p><p> </p><p>The Government set out its priorities for democratic engagement for 2019 and beyond in its report <em>Democratic Engagement: Respecting, Protecting and Promoting Our Democracy</em>, published in January. The report highlights the Government's commitment to ensuring everyone can make their voice heard free from abuse, making voting easier and more accessible for vulnerable and under-registered groups, and introducing measures to protect electors’ votes.</p><p> </p><p>The Wales Act 2017 devolved powers over National Assembly elections and local government elections in Wales.
