	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2018 answer text <p>The community pharmacy IT infrastructure is being modernised, enabling the integration of community pharmacies within the wider National Health Service. In 2016 the Quality Payments Scheme was introduced to align an element of payment to quality and to support integration. The scheme has led to a number of improvements including the roll out of NHS Mail to 11,411 pharmacies across England, enabling digital communication of patient information. It is reported that NHS Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) obtained coverage of 67.63% whilst the North of England (combination of 64 CCGs) reported a 71.34% coverage rate. England (total for 2017 CCGs) reported a 69.1% coverage rate. Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services traditionally offer and undertake both routine and opportunistic cervical cancer screening. These services accommodate a high risk cohort of women, which include those who are unlikely to access the screening programme via their general practitioner (GP), and women who are not registered with a GP.</p><p> </p><p>In tackling inequalities in access to cervical screening within SRH, NHS England local teams have worked with local authorities and sexual health providers to negotiate the continuation of opportunistic cervical screening over the last five years, and have committed to review the commissioning of this before the end of summer. The result of this assessment is set out in the Department’s annual assessment.</p><p> </p><p>The upper quartile strategic goal in the Life Science Industrial Strategy is not government policy and will therefore not be part of the Annual Assessment process. However, partners across the system are committed to maximising the appropriate use of innovative medicines to deliver better patient outcomes and support the long-term sustainability of the National Health Service. The Government continues to support and improve the Innovation Scorecard which tracks the uptake of innovative products approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.  It is designed to help users (clinicians, patients, commissioning groups, Government and other stakeholders) to understand and monitor the uptake of innovations in the NHS, and to use this information to continue to improve performance.
