If there is evidence of CCGs limiting prescriptions, and therefore rationing care, the Department expects NHS England to ensure the CCG is not breaching this statutory duty.</p><p> </p><p>Treatment and prescribing decisions should always be made by clinicians based on patients’ clinical needs. That is why we are fully committed to working closely with stakeholders to design how we identify and support those claimants who will need extra help with the process of managed migration.</p><p> </p><p>Following the approach of continuously reviewing and improving the Universal Credit service, managed migration will begin with a lengthy period of careful introduction.
