The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England (their Executive Agency, who offer independent scientific advice) lead on health issues for Government.</p><p> </p><p>Public Health England (PHE) is responsible for advising Government on the public health aspects of exposure to radio waves, including those from mobile phone base stations and other radio transmitters in the environment. Central to this advice is that exposure to radio waves should comply with the guidelines published by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP); who are formally recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO).</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Office for National Statistics (ONS) compiles data on the activities carried out by people that use the internet. This can be found at: http://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/householdcharacteristics/homeinternetandsocialmediausage</p><p> </p><p>The ONS estimates that in Great Britain 90% of households have an internet connection. Of those without internet access, ONS found “64% felt they didn’t need the internet as it was regarded as not useful or interesting. A further 20% felt they lacked skills and 12% reported that they had access to the internet elsewhere”.</p><p> </p> more like this

In addition, many stakeholder responses indicated greater detail on the proposals was necessary.</p><p> </p><p>Following the publication of the summary of responses to the consultation in September 2016, the Government has continued to engage with a range of interested parties to further discuss and explore the important issues raised in responses to the consultation and find solutions to the challenges identified. This further engagement will ensure that any reforms, if necessary, will be fit for purpose and best achieve the Government’s aims of rescuing distressed but viable businesses, therefore preserving both value and jobs.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Construction Skills Certification Scheme is an industry-led initiative which aims to ensure workers on construction sites are qualified to undertake the work they are to perform, and have received safety training. The industry decided to replace the previous fragmented system with a standardised one.
