	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/12/2020 answer text <p>Protecting care home residents and staff has been one of our top priorities and this includes increasing access to testing. We have now sent out over 12 million test kits to care homes. We are continuing to prioritise Care Home Testing, where we are issuing more than 120,000 tests a day to care homes across the country. We have met our 7 September target of providing testing kits to all care homes for older people and people with dementia who have registered for regular retesting kits. In addition, all other care homes have been able to place orders for test kits from 31 August. Since they were eligible to apply for regular repeat testing on the 31<sup>st</sup> August, over 5000 specialist homes in England have applied for tests. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2022 answer text <p>The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) does not approve COVID-19 testing devices. Tests for professional use are subject to self-assessment by the manufacturer before they may be placed on the market. Self-test devices are required to be assessed for conformity to the regulations by an Approved or Notified Body. In addition, tests must also meet the COVID Testing Devices Authorisation requirements.</p><p>In exceptional circumstances, the MHRA can issue an Exceptional Use Authorisation (EUA). The MHRA publishes the names of tests and other medical devices which have been granted an EUA online. The UK Health Security Agency evaluates lateral flow tests. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/10/2020 answer text <p>The Department received feedback from a number of stakeholders and experts on the application of the quarantine regulations to healthcare professionals and they were amended as appropriate.</p><p>As of 31 July, all health and care workers entering the United Kingdom from non-exempt countries or territories are required to self-isolate for 14 days. Before this date, healthcare workers had been exempted but this was removed in order to ensure consistency with the general public and to protect public health and the wider healthcare sector. Ensuring easier access to general practice will expand this route to access mental health services.</p><p>Through the NHS Long Term Plan, we are investing an additional £2.3 billion a year by 2023/24 to expand NHS mental health services in England, including in Sefton Central.
