star this property answer text <p>This Government is wholly committed to tackling poverty. Throughout the pandemic, our priority has been to support the most vulnerable including through spending an additional £7.4billion to strengthen the welfare system, taking our total expenditure on welfare support for people of working age to an estimated £112 billion in 2020/21. Additionally, in December 2020 we introduced our Covid Winter Grant Scheme, providing funding to Local Authorities in England to enable them to support people with food and essential utility bills during the coldest months. It will now run until June as the Covid Local Support Grant, with a total investment of £269m.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>National Statistics on the number and percentage of children in low income are published annually in the “Households Below Average Income” publication. Data for Ceredigion is unavailable due to insufficient sample size.</p><p> </p><p>Latest statistics for the levels of children who are in low income in Wales, covering 2019/20, can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/households-below-average-income-for-financial-years-ending-1995-to-2020" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/households-below-average-income-for-financial-years-ending-1995-to-2020</a>,“children-hbai-timeseries-1994-95-2019-20-tables” in table 4.16ts (relative low income, before and after housing costs) and in table 4.22ts (absolute low income, before and after housing costs).</p><p> </p><p>In the three years to 2019/20 the absolute levels of child poverty, before housing costs, for Wales, was 16%, down 8 percentage points since the three years to 2009/10</p><p> </p><p>The Department now publishes supplementary official statistics on the number of children in low income families at constituency level. Children in Low Income Families data is published annually.</p><p>In 2019/20 the absolute levels of child poverty, before housing costs, in Ceredigion was 16%. star this property answer text <p>Education is a devolved matter, and the response outlines the information for England only.</p><p> </p><p>The proposed ‘children not in school’ registers are intended to help with the identification of children being educated otherwise than at school, so that local authorities can undertake their existing responsibilities, to ensure all children are receiving a suitable education.</p><p> </p><p>All local authorities will be required to process personal data they collect and store on their register in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. This legislation requires each local authority, as a data controller, only to collect and store the minimum personal data necessary and to protect and restrict access to the personal data by implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures.</p><p> </p><p>Policy changes which require personal data processing, such as the ‘children not in school’ registers, are subject to scrutiny by the data protection officer (DPO) and their team, as part of the Data Protection Impact Assessment. The DPO will discuss requirement with the Information Commissioner’s Officer as part of their duties under the ‘prior notification’ obligations in Article 36 of the UK GDPR. This will ensure there are safeguards in place to protect the data on local authority registers.</p>

Any changes to its fees are included in rules which must be laid before Parliament.</p><p>On 22 September 2022, the HCPC opened a consultation on a proposal to increase the fees it charges registrants and applicants. The MHRA is primarily funded by income from fees for sales of products and regulatory services. The MHRA’s fees are set to cover full costs incurred by the Agency, in accordance with HM Treasury’s Managing Public Money guidelines. This is a standard form of cost recovery for regulators worldwide. The NIHR funds research for the protection of public health from environmental hazards and to understand the complex role of the environment on disease development.</p><p>The NIHR is funding research on microplastic toxicity in humans through the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Environmental Exposures and Health, which is a partnership between Imperial College London and the UK Health Security Agency. star this property answer text <p>As a result of the EU-UK Trade Cooperation Agreement, the United Kingdom benefits from a comprehensive reciprocal healthcare agreement with the European Union.</p><p>The arrangements includes the “S2” planned treatment funding route which entitles UK residents to National Health Service funding for planned state healthcare treatment in an EU country if certain criteria, set out in the Agreement, are met. This covers elective treatment.</p><p>Treatment must normally be provided on the NHS, be available on the treating country’s state healthcare scheme, and the same treatment cannot be provided to the patient on the NHS within a time period that is medically justifiable.</p><p>There are currently no plans to further expand reciprocal healthcare arrangements with the EU.</p> more like this

However, alternative oral opioid analgesics remain available and clinicians who wish to continue to prescribe pethidine 50 milligram tablets can access these from specialist importers. Advice has been communicated to National Health Service healthcare professionals via the Specialist Pharmacy Service website. Pethidine injection remains available also.</p><p>While health is a devolved matter, we work closely with devolved Governments, suppliers, NHS England, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, and other stakeholders to ensure patients continue to have access to the medicines they need.</p> more like this
