For example,</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s Disability Confident campaign works with employers at a national and local level to help them to understand the benefits of employing disabled people, and promote good practice in recruitment and employment of disabled people, including people with autism.</p><p> </p><p>DWP has worked in close partnership with the Hidden Impairment National Group (HING), a national network of disabled people, medical professionals/ academics and disability specific organisations to produce an ‘Uncovering Hidden Impairments’ toolkit. This resource supports organisations in both the private and public sectors to confidently recruit and retain talented individuals with hidden impairment conditions.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education is funding <em>Ambitious about Autism </em>(2015-16) to explore innovative ways of supporting young people with Autism to make the transition from school to further education, and the <em>Autism Education Trust</em> (2015-16) to promote the availability of training on Autism to schools, early years and further education staff, and to revise national standards for Autism provision and a competency framework for those who work with children with Autism.</p><p> </p><p>Government has supported the development by NIACE of an employer toolkit that includes information to help employers to understand the benefits of employing apprentices with disabilities, and to access support.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently working with Autism charities to build an autism network across DWP Jobcentre Plus Offices to ensure we can provide the best possible service to those with autism.</p><p> </p><p>We have worked with Community Service Volunteers to introduce the Job-Shadowing Work Placement Initiative for young disabled people. More broadly Police and Crime Commissioners are accountable to the public they serve and set out their priorities in their local police and crime plans. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2014 answer text <p /> <p>In March 2010 the Department of Health published the three year cross-Government strategy, <em>Fulfilling and rewarding lives: the strategy for adults with autism in England</em>. The strategy was updated in April 2014 and the Ministry of Justice is one of the signatories. As a result, a variety of different pieces of online training guidance were published for those delivering public services in order to meet the needs of those with autism. The criminal justice system has benefited from this guidance and training, which continues to be available. Some of the groups listed by the UAE are also proscribed in the UK. The list of groups proscribed in the UK is attached and is also available on the gov.uk website at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/proscribed-terror-groups-or-organisations--2" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/proscribed-terror-groups-or-organisations--2</a>.</p><p>Three of the groups listed by the UAE are based in the UK: Islamic Relief UK, the Cordoba Foundation and the Muslim Association of Britain. These groups are not proscribed in the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/03/2015 answer text <p>We remain committed to ensuring the skills system operates effectively to support the needs of the learners who are most disadvantaged.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department provides Learning Support funding to Colleges and providers to help them meet the additional needs of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and meet the costs of reasonable adjustments as set out in the Equality Act 2010. Learning Support can cover a range of needs including, for example, an assessment for dyslexia, funding to pay for specialist equipment or helpers and arranging signers or note takers.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We have maintained the Community Learning budget for 2015-16, at £215.7m, which includes an additional £5m (and £15m 2016-17) for the pilot community learning courses to help adults recover from mild to moderate mental illness, as announced in the Government’s Autumn Statement.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The freedoms and flexibilities offered by the adult skills budget gives colleges the ability to offer provision to respond best to the priorities and needs of learners and employers in the local area. Medical conditions are not in themselves a qualification for a Blue Badge.
