The goods covered by those licences were worth £128m. In 2017 DIT issued 234 export licences for controlled goods to Israel. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/03/2016 answer text <p>The UK aviation industry has an excellent safety record and safety is monitored continuously by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as safety regulator. The safety of the public is the first consideration in any decision-making process.</p><p> </p><p>The CAA has conducted extensive assessments of the risks to aircraft of laser attacks. The CAA Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs) provide statistical data on the frequency and geographical location of attacks on UK aircraft. But we do not recognise the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including the settlements, as part of Israel and indeed the settlements are not covered by the current EU-Israel Association Agreement which governs our trade with Israel.</p><p>A just and lasting resolution that ends the occupation and delivers peace for both Israelis and Palestinians is long overdue.
