We are committed to ensuring that all those using the National Health Service have fair and equitable access to high quality, effective healthcare services that are responsive to all patients’ needs.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan sets a clear directive to offer digital first options for the provision of health and care to meet user needs and create a sustainable health and care system. We will continue to offer people choice in how they access NHS services.</p><p>Our mission is to empower people to participate in their health and care using digital services that meet their needs, target prevention and offer a personalised experience.</p><p>Whilst interaction with many health and care services will shift to digital over the coming years, this shift will not be obligatory for people who are unable or unwilling to do so. This represents significant progress against the target set out in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health for at least 30,000 additional women each year to access evidence-based specialist perinatal mental health treatment by 2020/21.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan includes a commitment for a further 24,000 women to be able to access specialist perinatal mental health care by 2023/24, building on the additional 30,000 women who will access these services each year by 2020/21. This means mental health will receive a growing share of the NHS budget, worth in real terms at least a further £2.3 billion a year by 2023/24. Additionally, the NHS also commits that funding for children and young people’s mental health services will grow faster than both overall NHS funding and total mental health spending. This means that children and young people’s mental health services will for the first time grow as a proportion of all mental health services, which will themselves also be growing faster than the NHS overall. The review’s report contains a number of recommendations on the administration of section 117 aftercare, including proposing national guidance on the division of funding between local authorities and CCGs.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has made no assessment of local CCG policies on this matter. We will be considering these recommendations in detail before responding in due course. The availability of AccuChek Expert, Dexcom G6 and Eversense XL products is a matter for CCGs who are primarily responsible for commissioning diabetes services, to meet the requirements of their population. In doing so, they need to ensure that the services they provide are fit for purpose, reflect the needs of the local population, are based on the available evidence and consider national guidelines. NHS England engages with technology companies developing products that may be of significant benefit to those with diabetes to seek to increase their availability to patients where appropriate.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The Department does not collate data on the number of patients using these devices nationally or by clinical commissioning group.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> <p><ins class="ministerial">NHS Digital publishes Hospital and Community Health Services (HCHS) workforce statistics for England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/03/2018 answer text <p>For children and young people with a suspected eating disorder (up to 19 years), the Government is investing £150 million to expand eating disorder services and staff for 70 extended or new established community eating disorder services. This means at least 3,350 children and young people a year will receive swift, effective eating disorder treatment in the community.</p><p>The Government has commissioned Health Education England to repeat the 2015 baseline audit of the children and young people’s mental health workforce, across all statutory and voluntary sector providers. This will include staff delivering care in the new or extended community eating disorder services. This data will allow NHS England to monitor progress with increasing the staffing of eating disorders services to improve access and deliver care in line with the published pathway guidance and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence clinical guidance.</p><p>The planned spend by clinical commissioning groups on children and young people’s eating disorders in 2017/18 is £46,717,000 which includes the £30 million per year in clinical commissioning group baselines. This additional funding contributes to increasing staff to create the community eating disorder multidisciplinary teams.
