star this property answer text <p>Ofsted is currently consulting on proposals for a new inspection framework. This includes a separate graded judgement on pupils’ behaviour and attitudes, within which inspectors will consider pupil exclusions. Ofsted has also proposed a new emphasis on examining any use of off-rolling as well formal exclusions. The Department engaged closely with Ofsted as it developed its consultation proposals, and that engagement continues.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The national funding formula (NFF) has, for the first time in 2018-19, distributed school funding according to a formula based on the individual needs and characteristics of every school in the country. The attached table outlines the notional NFF allocations for the requested schools in Enfield Southgate from 2017 to 2020.</p><p>To provide stability for schools, local authorities continue to be responsible for the distribution of individual schools’ budgets in their areas in consultation with local schools. Because of this, the actual amount that schools receive may be different from the amount they are attracting through the NFF.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>​The former Foreign Secretary secured EU agreement to suspend invitations to the Commander-in-chief of Burma's armed forces and other senior Burmese military officers at the Foreign Affairs Council in October 2017. This suspension remains in place. The EU Foreign Affairs Council in February 2018 concluded that the EU should prepare targeted measures including travel bans and asset freezes against a further seven Burmese military officers which came into force in June 2018.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The UK Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York did not raise the detention of political prisoners during the UN Security Council's visit to Burma. The purpose of the Security Council visit was to further its efforts to address the crisis since 25 August 2017 and to urge progress on conditions for refugee returns and on accountability for abuses in Rakhine State.</p><p>The British Embassy in Burma has raised the issue of political prisoners on several occasions with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and her ministers. Since her Government took office in April 2016, at least 160 political prisoners have been released. However, we believe there to be still 45 political prisoners in Burma. Our Embassy in Burma continues to support the work of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (Burma).</p> more like this
