star this property answer text
Expanding access to children’s mental health services is a priority for this Government, and a core part of the NHS Long Term Plan. The National Health Service has set an ambitious goal of an extra 345,000 children and young people aged 0-25 receiving support via NHS-funded mental health services by 2023/24 and we are providing an additional £1.4 billion to improve specialist children and young people’s mental health services between 2015-21.

The Long Term Plan sets out the NHS’s commitment to grow investment in mental health services faster than the NHS budget overall for each of the next five years, and to grow funding for children and young people’s mental health services faster than both overall NHS funding and total mental health spending.

From 2018/19, clinical commissioning groups are also required to have their delivery of the Standard independently audited and to publish the results of this audit on their websites.
more like this
