	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/04/2019 answer text <p>It remains the Government’s intention to leave the EU with a deal and not participate in European Parliamentary elections.</p><p>As a responsible Government we have taken the necessary steps required by law should we have to participate in the poll. We have laid a Day of Poll Order before Parliament that sets 23 May 2019 as the date of the poll for the European Parliamentary elections in the UK and Gibraltar. This has been necessary to help us all control the virus and save lives. We have published detailed guidance on gov.uk which explains how you can now see people you do not live with, while protecting yourself and others from coronavirus.</p><p>We developed a national cross-government campaign to increase awareness of all coronavirus-related guidance and provide information and reassurance to the public.
