star this property answer text <p>The UK has a proud history of providing protection to those that need it – and this Government is committed to ensuring that refugees can take posi-tive steps towards integration as they rebuild their lives in the UK.</p><p>The Government response to the consultation on the Integrated Communities Strategy (ICS) and action plan was published on GOV.UK on 9th February. Refugees can access all integration measures in the ICS and have access to mainstream benefits and services. This includes healthcare, education, English language tuition and Job Centre work coaches. The Home Office is working with other Government departments to ensure these services meet the needs of refugees.</p><p>In addition, the ICS includes commitments to work with civil society and others to increase integration support for all refugees. The measures for refugees focus on four key themes: English language, employment, mental health and information.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Since the start of 2010 the UK has extradited 35 British citizens (including dual nationals) from the UK to the USA, over the same time period the US has extradited 8 US nationals (including dual nationals) to the UK.</p><p>Of those arrested for the purposes of extradition to the US since 1 January 2010, 50 individuals (of all nationalities) have been extradited (up to and including 3 November 2015).</p><p>All figures are from local management information, and have not been quality assured to the level of published National Statistics. As such they should be treated as provisional and therefore subject to change.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>For reasons of national security we cannot be specific about the number of UK nationals suspected of leaving the UK in order to support the activities of Boko Haram or Islamic State West Africa Province.</p><p>Anyone who returns to the UK from engaging in terrorist activities overseas should expect to be investigated to determine if they have committed criminal offences or pose a threat to our national security. Where evidence of crimes exist, those responsible should expect to be prosecuted for them. Decisions on prosecution are taken independently of Government by the police and the Crown Prosecution Service.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>People may be refused a British passport or may have their existing passport withdrawn on a number of grounds, including that their grant or continued enjoyment of a passport is contrary to the public interest. Public interest grounds include seeking to harm the UK or her allies by travelling on a British passport to, for example, engage in terrorism-related activity.<br><br>From 1 January to 30 September 2014, the Royal Prerogative power to withdraw or refuse a British Passport has been exercised 21 times on public interest grounds.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
