star this property answer text <p>The UK has a proud history of providing protection to those that need it – and this Government is committed to ensuring that refugees can take posi-tive steps towards integration as they rebuild their lives in the UK.</p><p>The Government response to the consultation on the Integrated Communities Strategy (ICS) and action plan was published on GOV.UK on 9th February. Refugees can access all integration measures in the ICS and have access to mainstream benefits and services. This includes healthcare, education, English language tuition and Job Centre work coaches. The Home Office is working with other Government departments to ensure these services meet the needs of refugees.</p><p>In addition, the ICS includes commitments to work with civil society and others to increase integration support for all refugees. The measures for refugees focus on four key themes: English language, employment, mental health and information.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>For reasons of national security we cannot be specific about the number of UK nationals suspected of leaving the UK in order to support the activities of Boko Haram or Islamic State West Africa Province.</p><p>Anyone who returns to the UK from engaging in terrorist activities overseas should expect to be investigated to determine if they have committed criminal offences or pose a threat to our national security. Where evidence of crimes exist, those responsible should expect to be prosecuted for them. Decisions on prosecution are taken independently of Government by the police and the Crown Prosecution Service.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Home Office does not hold the information requested and does not currently collect data from police forces on acid and other corrosive attacks as part of its regular data collection. It has been estimated from a previous voluntary data collection commissioned by the National Police Chiefs’ Council covering the period October to December 2017 that there are around 800 corrosive attacks per annum in England and Wales.</p><p>We have been working with the National Police Chiefs’ Council on improving recording and will be collecting data on corrosive attacks as part of the Annual Data Requirement on police forces from April 2019 onwards. Data will be published in the future as part of the Office for National Statistics’ quarterly crime statistics.</p> more like this
