star this property answer text <p>The Places of Worship security funding scheme is a key Home Office commitment in the Hate Crime Action Plan.</p><p>Officials have actively promoted the scheme visiting mosques, gurdwaras, churches and temples, as well as attending faith-based roundtables. In addition, the scheme uses an Independent Advisory Panel, consisting of representatives from the Christian, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu faiths, to assess applications.</p> more like this

However, officials have discussed the scheme at meetings of the Sikh Roundtable, the Anti-Muslim Hatred Working Group, and Independent Advisory Group on Hate Crime. The Min-ister for Faith, Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth, was present to discuss the scheme at the Sikh Roundtable in July 2018.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Since the introduction of austerity measures in financial year 2009/10, the Home Office Group has significantly reduced spend on first class rail by 99 per cent in real terms to financial year 16/17. In FY09/10, the Home Office’s First Class Rail travel was £1.9m, in FY16/17 this expenditure was £19k.</p><p>Spend on business class flights made by the Home Office Group has decreased from £650k in financial year 2010/11 to £240k in the latest full financial year (2016/17), a decrease of 63 per cent.</p><p>There has been a continued drive to reduce spend on first class rail travel across the group. First class rail travel may be booked if there are no standard class facilities available, and to accommodate staff with disabilities or other special needs requirements.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Home Office has not allocated funding for the Troubled Families programme for 2016-17, 2017-18 or 2018-19.</p><p>From 2016/17 onwards, HM Treasury has baselined funding of the Troubled Families programme so it is deducted before Departments receive their allocations to avoid the need for the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to approach Departments individually to ask for contributions.</p><p>Therefore, the Home Office no longer provides funding directly to DCLG for the Troubled Families programme.</p> more like this
