<p>The UK remains committed to supporting poverty reduction in Rwanda, Kenya and Ghana.
Kenya and Ghana are now lower-middle income countries and as such are starting to
transition from aid.</p><p>Our assistance in all three countries strengthens health
and education and supports inclusive economic growth and job creation, which are essential
to sustainably reduce poverty and allow a managed transition from aid. Our bilateral
assistance is complemented by funding through DFID’s centrally-managed programmes
and support through multilaterals and other Government Departments.</p>
