We remain closely engaged with industry to ensure that we are informed of the latest intelligence on the labour market, including on both seasonal and permanent agricultural roles. As part of this, the government has commissioned the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to assess the role that EU citizens play in the UK economy and society, and we will work closely with the food and farming industry to consider their specific needs as we develop a new immigration system.
