	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/10/2019 answer text <p>Automatic enrolment has achieved a quiet revolution through getting employees into the habit of pension saving, and reversing the decline in workplace pension participation in the decade prior to these reforms. Since automatic enrolment started in 2012 participation rates have been transformed with 87% of eligible employees saving into a workplace pension in 2018, up from 55% in 2012.</p><p> </p><p>The Department does not hold data for individual constituencies in relation to opt outs or the number of individuals who have saved above the automatic enrolment minimum contribution level. We want to reassure patients that our plans should ensure the uninterrupted supply of medicines and medical products once we have left the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The department, as part of our EU exit preparations, is implementing a multi-layered approach to mitigate potential disruption to supply, which consists of stockpiling where possible, securing freight capacity, changing or clarifying regulatory requirements, procuring additional warehousing, working closely with industry to improve trader readiness and putting in place the National Supply Disruption Response to manage potential shortages. We recognise that suppliers may incur additional storage costs for stockpiling medicines or switching to air freight as part of preparations for a potential ‘no deal’ EU exit. As announced by the Prime Minister on 27 July, the government will bring forward plans on the fund. The government remains committed to consulting on the fund.</p><p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund will operate across the UK. It will be part of this government’s commitment to levelling up our regions and enabling all places to benefit from economic prosperity, particularly those whose economies are furthest behind.</p><p>The government has been working closely with interested parties across the UK whilst developing the fund. It is only right that we take final decisions regarding its design, including its allocation, after a cross-government Spending Review.</p><p>UK government officials regularly discuss the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with their counterparts in the devolved administrations and the Northern Ireland Civil Service.
