star this property answer text <p>Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) have a statutory responsibility to commission healthcare services that meet the needs of their whole population, including fertility services. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Aauthority’s guidance for commissioners is a new tool to help them implement National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Fertility guidelines and utilise the benchmark price for In Vitro Fertilisation.</p><p>I have written to all CCGs to promote the guidance and benchmark price, and encourage them to fully implement NICE Fertility Guideline recommendations.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The proposed regulation changes do not ‘create’ Accountable Care Organisations (ACOs). It is the awarding of an ACO contract by local commissioners that would create an ACO. The regulations simply ensure that current rules continue to apply to any ACO contract. NHS England has promised to publicly consult on the ACO contract before it is used anywhere in the NHS.</p><p><br> The Department will not bring forward legislation until NHS England has consulted on the draft ACO contract.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The improved work incentives in Universal Credit result not just from work allowances, but also from the lower taper rates, the fact that a claimant does not need to claim in three places, and that data on earnings is received every month, meaning that a claimant’s Universal Credit adjusts automatically to their earnings. star this property answer text <p>The Government values the contribution which migrants makes to the NHS</p><p>We have commissioned the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to advise on the economic and social impacts of the UK’s exit from the EU and also on how the UK’s immigration system should be aligned with a modern industrial strategy. <br>The Government will want to ensure that decisions on the long-term arrangements are based on evidence. The commission that we have asked the MAC to undertake is very much part of this. The MAC are due to publish their final report by September 2018.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The additional checks introduced as a result of the findings of the report of the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration are as follows:</p><p>• Financial checks</p><p>• Further verification of referee details</p><p>• Relevant information held by other government departments</p><p>• Full review of an applicant’s immigration compliance since arrival in the UK</p><p>Additional checks are carried out on cases assessed as having a medium or high likelihood of failing to satisfy the good character requirement, and the checks conducted depend on the specific circumstances of an individual case and any further investigation deemed necessary when the results of checks are received. No information is aggregated in national reporting systems to enable reporting on the time additional checks have added to the time taken to consider cases.</p> more like this
