star this property answer text <p>We have regular discussions with the National Police Chiefs’ Council on the issue of synthetic cannabinoids and we recognise how dangerous they can be and the devastating impact that they can have on communities, families and the individuals taking them.</p><p>That is why we acted to control these substances as class B drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 in 2016, to give the police the powers they need to take action, including making possession illegal and delivering longer sentences for dealers.</p><p>This followed recommendations from the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs that their harms are commensurate with other class B drugs.</p><p>However, we will continue to monitor their impact.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The precise way in which the Government will control migration to the UK following exit from the EU is yet to be determined.</p><p>In July 2017, the Government commissioned the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to advise on the economic and social impacts of the UK’s exit from the European Union and also on how the UK’s immigration system should be aligned with a modern industrial strategy. The MAC’s call for evidence sought information on EU migrants’ skills, amongst other things, and this will be considered in their final report due in September 2018.</p><p>We will build a comprehensive picture of the needs and interests of all parts of the UK, taking account of the evidence from the MAC, and look to develop a system which works for all.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>All individuals are referred to the UK authorities by the French non-governmental organisation, France terre d'asile and are then interviewed by French and UK officials.</p><p>Where credible and clear documentary evidence of age is not available, trained officials will use criteria including physical appearance and demeanour to assess age as part of the interview process.</p><p>Where we believe someone is significantly over the age of 18, they will be refused transfer to the UK as a child. The Home Office does not use dental x-rays to determine an individual’s age; the British Dental Association has described them as inaccurate, inappropriate and unethical.</p> more like this
