Providers were allocated an amount of money based on their student enrolment figures to pay employers £1,000 for each industry placement student that they took on. In excess of 1,600 employers were supported to offer placements during the scheme. The new Employer Support Fund was launched in April 2023, for which we have made up to £12 million available to support legitimate costs employers may incur when offering placement opportunities. This support fund is only valid for placements which begin between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024.
more like this

Claimants are invited to participate in a WCA as part of a claim to ESA or a declaration of restricted ability to work in UC. We are currently operating a small-scale test of this new apply service, taking a small number of claims to begin with before we gradually and carefully increase the number of people who can use it. We have already introduced a digital version of the PIP2 health questionnaire, which is now offered to the majority of those making a claim.

This is an extensive network of 178 sites covering 40% of English waters.
