	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/05/2019 answer text <p>Government recognises the important role that the creative industries play in driving local growth and creating new opportunities in places across the UK.</p><p>To support the UK’s world-leading cultural and creative businesses, the government and industry invested £150 million in the Creative Industries Sector Deal.</p><p>The Deal announced several proposals including a £20 million ‘Cultural Development Fund’ (CDF) for cities and towns in England to bid for creative and cultural investment. As part of the competitive grant application process, the following towns and cities were successful in their CDF application: Worcester, Wakefield, Thames Estuary, Plymouth and Grimsby. In addition, a £39m ‘Creative Industries Cluster Programme’ funding for nine R&amp;D partnerships has been set up across the UK.</p><p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media &amp; Sport also funds Arms Length Bodies such as Arts Council England which invest in arts and culture on a regional basis.</p><p>According to Arts Council England, National Portfolio Organisations in Cornwall - many of which are defined as Creative Industries - will receive up to £10 million in funding between 2018-22. In November 2017, the Secretary of State said in A Strategic Vision for Rail that the challenge to our partners was to work with Government and the industry to develop compelling proposals for the next generation of rail schemes, identifying the places where rail is the right answer for local transport needs. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>The further education sector plays a key role in ensuring quality vocational training opportunities and improving social mobility across England, including in North Cornwall. We have protected the base rate of funding for 16 to 19 year olds until the end of the current spending review period in 2020. Additional funding is provided through the 16 to 19 funding formula, including over £500 million across England in 2018-19 to support disadvantaged students and therefore improving social mobility. Overall, the government plans to invest nearly £7 billion nationally during 2018-19 to ensure that there is a place in education or training for every 16 to 19 year old.</p><p> </p><p>Through the Adult Education Budget, we are continuing to invest in further education for adults aged 19 and above, including those who are furthest from the labour market, to support their progression to further study, employment or an apprenticeship. We are also supporting adults who have been motivated to move out of unemployment and are in low-paid or low-skilled jobs to upskill at no charge and to progress further.</p><p> </p><p>We are creating 3 million high quality apprenticeships that will change the lives of apprentices and the prospects of businesses. Apprenticeships disproportionately benefit people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Delivering more and better quality apprenticeships will ensure that more people from these backgrounds are enabled to gain the skills and training they need to build successful careers.</p><p> </p><p>The European Social Fund (ESF) has been an important source of skills and employment funding used to support those furthest from learning and the labour market. Following Brexit, whilst we will no longer have access to the ESF, the government has committed to create a UK Shared Prosperity Fund to reduce inequalities between communities and help deliver sustainable, inclusive growth.</p><p> </p><p>The department works closely with HM Treasury (HMT) in considering further education funding. We are considering the efficiency and resilience of the sector and assessing how far current funding and regulatory structures enable high quality provision, including vocational training. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/05/2019 answer text <p>Digital technology is improving access to healthcare for rural communities:</p><p>- In April 2018, NHS Digital published a digital inclusion guide for health and social care aimed at local health and care organisations to help them to take practical steps to support digital inclusion in their communities, including those in rural areas who are more likely to be digitally excluded;</p><p> </p><p>- We are working closely with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to ensure that health and care needs are taken into account in national digital infrastructure policy, are running two test beds under Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s 5G programme focused on improving access, and the 5G programme itself will address rural connectivity; and</p><p> </p><p>- The NHS App is now connected in over 52% of general practitioner (GP) practices. It provides a universal offer regardless of postcode. It gives patients a single safe and secure means to interact with their GP, including access to their GP record, make GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions, access 111 online for urgent medical questions. The proposals will reduce the level of paperwork. For example, when a home owner obtains an exemption for a residential extension they will not be required to submit a commencement notice to the local authority before the building work commences. The forms ensure that the developer provides the necessary information to enable the local authority to make a fair and transparent assessment of the levy liabilities. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/06/2019 answer text <p>Reducing the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the need to use antibiotics through infection prevention and control in human and animal health is one of a number of cores principles in the UK’s 5 Year National AMR Action Plan and 20 Year Vision. Our Action Plan recognises antimicrobial resistance as a global public good. This is reflected in the high priority the UK gives to addressing the problem of AMR. Since 2014, the sales of antibiotics for use in food-producing animals in the UK have dropped by 40%. The Bill is a central part of the Government’s programme of legislation to deliver as smooth a departure as possible and achieve a green Brexit. At the heart of our new policy in England will be a system that pays public money for public goods. Our future agriculture policy will help farmers continue to provide a supply of healthy, home-grown produce made to high environmental and animal welfare standards.</p><p> </p><p>We are committed to putting in place a Gold Standard of metrics which will provide a framework of sustainability metrics, establishing a common vocabulary for environmental and animal welfare measurements in food and farming that can be used across public and private sectors.</p><p> </p><p>We already have some of the highest welfare standards in the world, as well as a number of voluntary labelling schemes which provide assurances as to the welfare of the animals, both of which ensure consumers are not misled by the labelling of products that contain meat or dairy products. Once we leave the EU, we will review food labelling to ensure that we have a framework that meets the needs of UK consumers and producers.
