star this property answer text <p>Secure Training Centres (STCs) play an important role in helping young people to reform and turn their lives around. They typically cater for younger offenders with multiple or complex needs, and therefore have smaller units and higher staff ratios than some other youth establishments.</p><p>The estimated average annual cost per place over the 5 year contract period at Rainsbrook STC is £136k and at Medway STC it is £138k. These figures are based on the bid price, uplifted in line with forecasted inflation.</p> more like this

The UK has in place, robust security regulations which are enforced by an independent regulator, the Office for Nuclear Regulation. These regulations cover sensitive nuclear information as well as holdings of nuclear material and nuclear sites. The Government keeps the regulatory framework for security in the civil nuclear industry under continuous review. star this property answer text <p>The Chancellor’s announcement on 21 September 2015 set out that the government and the Hinkley Point C project company had agreed the terms of a £2 billion guarantee through the UK Guarantees Scheme. This guarantee is the first tranche of debt guarantees that was approved as part of the European Commission’s approval of the wider support package for Hinkley Point C. star this property answer text <p>The government first became aware of the installation of software fitted to Volkswagen vehicles to distort emissions tests following the announcement of the US Environmental Protection Agency investigation in the US on 18 September 2015.</p><p>In response, the Vehicle Certification Agency, the UK regulator, has started investigations to establish whether this affects other manufacturers.</p><p>As part of this work they will re-run laboratory tests where necessary and compare them against real world driving emissions.</p><p>The government have called on the EU to conduct a Europe wide investigation into whether there is evidence that cars here have been fitted with illegal defeat devices.</p> more like this
