	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises that ensuring debt sustainability and transparency in Low Income Countries (LICs) is important. UK-based lenders are subject to extensive prudential disclosure requirements under UK prudential and accounting law, including for material loans made to foreign Governments, which appropriately reflect firms’ exposures. Compliance with these requirements are independently assessed by the relevant UK regulator during their supervisory activities.</p><p> </p><p>Given the complex international nature of LIC debt, we continue to believe that internationally-agreed assessments and coordinated approaches to tackle debt vulnerability are most effective. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2018 answer text <p>The UK supports sustainable trade of agricultural commodities associated with deforestation, including palm oil. We are a signatory to the Amsterdam Declaration in support of a fully sustainable palm oil supply chain and are a member of the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 and have endorsed the New York Declaration on Forests.</p><p>In Malaysia the British High Commission is working with Malaysian government enforcement agencies and NGOs to tackle the illegal wildlife trade. During HRH the Prince of Wales' visit to Sarawak in November 2017 the state government reiterated its full commitment to protect the orangutan. Both Sabah and Sarawak states have invested in two rehabilitation centres for displaced orangutans. 	question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of the EU decision to phase out the use of palm oil in transport fuels by 2030.

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2018 answer text <p>The revised Renewable Energy Directive includes a provision restricting biofuels with a high risk of causing indirect land use change (ILUC) from counting towards EU renewable energy targets. Details of the provision are to be determined by the Commission in a delegated Act by February 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s position is that all biofuels should deliver genuine greenhouse gas savings compared to fossil fuels. In the UK we ensure that measures to promote a market for biofuels, including rewards provided through the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO), avoid supporting biofuels with high ILUC impacts.
