Closed training prisons provide a range of facilities for category B or category C prisoners who are serving medium to long-term sentences and offer a variety of activities in prison workshops, gardens, educational courses and offending behaviour programmes. Capacity data is available online which could be used to quantify the total capacity of the training estate.
