	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2018 answer text <p>The department announced in September 2018 that there will be increased Religious Education (RE) bursaries for trainees starting initial teacher training in 2019/20. The department awards a £9,000 bursary for all RE trainees with at least a 2:2 degree classification; previously, a £9,000 bursary was only available to RE trainees with a first class degree.</p><p>Additionally, the department is now funding eight week subject knowledge enhancement courses in RE for potential trainee teachers who need to gain the depth of knowledge needed to teach RE.</p><p>The department will review the impact of these changes over the course of this year, and the findings will inform the future level for funding for RE initial teacher training.</p><p>The department will also review the bursaries and other funding that is offered to support ITT recruitment annually. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/02/2019 answer text <p>We are examining the trends in the level of funding for further education in considering the funding and resilience of further education and in assessing how far existing and forecast funding and regulatory structures enable high quality provision. We recognise that some of the key areas of funding have not kept up with costs and we will continue to look carefully at these issues in preparation for the next Spending Review and in the light of the recommendations of the Post-18 Review.</p><p>We have protected the base rate of funding for all 16 to 19 year old students until 2020 and plan to invest nearly £7 billion this academic year to make sure that there is a place in education or in training, including for apprenticeships, for every 16 to 19 year old. We are investing in education for adult learners, including for those furthest from learning and the labour market. We are continuing to provide Advanced Learner Loans, which is an established part of the Further Education funding framework and a key source of provider income. We are also doubling the amount of funding available for apprenticeships in England (in cash terms) by 2019-20 when compared with actual levels of spend in 2010-11. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/05/2019 answer text <p>Authorities are required to provide mainstream schools with sufficient funds to enable schools to meet the additional cost of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities, up to £6,000. Top-up funding is then provided from local authorities high needs budgets. Nationally, high needs funding is £6.3 billion this year. We recognise that local authorities are facing cost pressures, which is why in December we allocated an additional £250 million across all local authorities up to 2020. Slough will receive £880,000 of this additional funding. This funding will help local authorities to manage their cost pressures. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government is taking forward a programme of reform to alternative provision (AP), including pupil referral units, and set out its vision for reform in the March 2018 document: 'Creating opportunity for all: our vision for alternative provision'. We are in the final year of a multi-year settlement deal and have made £46.4 billion available this year for local services including those for children’s services.
